Logging into NoodleTools

1.) Go to NoodleTools.com

2.) Type in your school email address

Example: lorrasar000@jsmorton.org

3.) Click on 'Sign in with Office 365'

4.) Create a new project 

Click on the green '+ New Project'

5.) Title your project "History Fair "

  • Citation Style - MLA
  • Level - Advanced

Citing a Webpage or an Image from the Web

When you cite a webpage and or image from the Web, the process is different. Often, there is no citation provided that you can copy and paste.

A website or image from the Web are sources you usually find by doing a Google Search.

Copying and Pasting a Citation from a Database

If a source is an image, article, or piece of information from the following sources, you are using a Database.

 

You can copy and paste the citation provided directly into NoodleTools:

  1. Go directly to article/image you are using.
  2. Click on 'Cite' or scroll to the bottom of the page.
  3. Copy Citation provided (Control + C)
  4. Go to Noodle Tools
  5. Click on +New Source
  6. Where is it? Answer: Database
  7. What is it? Answer: Select what kind of source you are citing.
    1. ABC CLIO American History or ELibrary = type of source listed below title.
    2. ProQuest Historical Newspapers = newspaper
  8. Click on Quick cite: Copy & paste a citation
  9. Paste (Control + V) into text box
  10. Click Save
