Step 4: Create a Bibliography to Cite Your Sources

This video shows you how to create citations and a bibliography in a Word Document.

There are two parts to a bibliography:

  • In-text citation
  • Works Cited page

You will create a bibliography directly in your paper using Microsoft Word.

1.) Place your cursor at the end of the sentence where an in-text citation should go.

2.) Go to the References tab in Word.

3.) Change the Citation Style to MLA

4.) Click Insert Citation - Enter the Title, Author, Date, etc. for your source.

5.) Repeat until all three sources have been entered in the correct spot in your paper.

6.) Insert your 'Works Cited' at the end of your paper - Open the 'References' tab, click on Bibliography.

  • Select 'Works Cited'
