Convention Policies 


Field Trip Forms & Library Passes

To attend the convention during your lunch/supervisory period:

  1. First have your costume idea pre-approved by Mrs. Mendez by March 29th - stop by the Ferris Wheel in the Library! 
  2. Pick up an out of uniform/entrance pass from Mr. Glazik or Mrs. Mendez on Tuesday, April 11

If you are volunteering or have been selected as an artist for the convention during 3rd, 4th, & 5th period:

Volunteers:

  1. Please pick up a field trip form to work the convention from Mrs. Mendez or Mr. Glazik!  TURN IN YOUR FIELD TRIP FORM BY MARCH 31st
  2. Once you turn in your form, you will be given a library pass to attend & be out of uniform

 

Alley Artists: 

  1. Once you've been selected & notified by March 29th, please pick up a field trip form from Mrs. Mendez or Mr. Glazik! TURN IN YOUR FIELD TRIP FORM BY MARCH 31st
  2. Once you turn in your form, you will be given a library pass to attend & be out of uniform

Costume & Props 

YOUR COSTUME IDEA MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BY MRS. MENDEZ  BY MARCH 29th

PICK UP YOUR OUT OF UNIFORM PASS ON TUESDAY, APRIL 11

Any hats, hoodies, or jeans must be a part of the costume.

No weapons, toys, or look-alike weapons are allowed.

School appropriate costumes -- no revealing clothing. 

Masks & face paint is allowed as long as you are still easily recognizable.

Participation in PE is expected. 

No clown costumes.

Costumes should not disrupt class activities or the learning process or be a safety hazard.

Costumes cannot promote/advertise alcoholic beverages, tobacco, drugs, gangs, or violent behavior.

Costumes with lewd, vulgar, obscene, or plainly offensive language as well as religious, racial, or sexually offensive costumes are prohibited.


Code of Conduct

Attendees must respect commonsense rules for public behavior, personal interaction, common courtesy, and respect for private property. Harassing or offensive behavior will not be tolerated. No running.
