2019 - Creating Videos Using WeVideo: Uploading Media into WeVideo

Importing Media into WeVideo

When creating your WeVideo movie, you should upload all the pictures, videos, songs, and/or narrations that you want to use into your Media account. This is one of the first steps in creating a video.

1.) Save all your photos, videos, songs, and narrations that will be going into your movie on your computer or in your OneDrive account. It is important to note that your content needs to be saved as files such as:

.jpeg or .png for images

.mp3 for songs and narrations

MP4 (mp4, m4a, m4v, f4v, f4a, m4b, m4r, f4b, mov) for videos

2.) Create a folder in Media with the SAME name as the video project that all those images, videos, songs, etc. go with.

3.) Upload any and all files into the Media section of your WeVideo account. The video below shows you how to create folders in Media and upload content.

Saving Pictures from Google Images

Google Web Search

Any images that you find using Google must be saved as .png or .jpeg files.

If your school laptop gives you the message that there is a virus detected, there are two options:

1.)  Use Internet Explorer instead of Chrome and go to google.com to search for images.

Right click on image and select 'Save image as'

2.) In Chrome, right click on the image and choose 'Open image in new tab'

Click on new tab and rag image to desktop.

Then upload images to Media in WeVideo.
