How to Record/Narrate Your PowerPoint Slides

When you finish creating your PowerPoint, you will need to record / narrate each slide. Follow these steps:

1.  Do a final FILE - SAVE on your PowerPoint

2.  Click the MIX tab in the orange PowerPoint heading bar

3.  You will see a new set of tools appear

4.  Click on the SLIDE RECORDING button on the left

5.  A new screen with a black background will appear

6.  Click the red RECORD button to begin recording your slide

7.  Click the red square to stop recording (grey square turns red when you are recording)

8.  Click the blue triangle to preview/listen to your recording

9.  Click the ESC (Escape) key after previewing to return to the recording window

10. If you are satisfied with your recording, click the blue arrow to move to the next slide. Begin recording.

11. Not happy with your recording? You can delete it and record the slide again: click the EDIT SLIDE RECORDING button and select DELETE SLIDE RECORDING (the middle option).  Now you can record again. 

12. Record / narrate on all five slides.

13. Do a final FILE - SAVE on your PowerPoint
