Summer Reading Program!

How do I participate in the Summer Reading?

  • Choose a book
  • Read that book!
  • Complete one of the three activities listed below and submit it on the Summer Reading board.
  • Make sure to include your Name and ID Number in your post.
  • Earn the chance to win fun prizes by participating!

Quotes that Inspire!

Design a graphic using a quote from your book!

  •  Choose a quote from your book that speaks to you - quotes can be happy, sad, inspiring, scary, or thought-provoking. Any line from a story that stands out to you is fair game!
  • Create a design that incorporates this quote - make sure you include the title of the book and the author's name in your design.
  • Save your design as an image and post it on the Summer Reading board.
  • Make sure to include your Name and ID Number in your post!

Write a Review!

Write a review of the book you read. The challenge? Write your review in 15 words or less!

  • List the title and author of the book.
  • Put your review in quotes.
  • List your name and the name of the fictional newspaper or magazine you write for underneath your review.
  • Post your review to the Summer Reading Board!
  • Make sure to include your Name and ID Number in your post!

Create a Cover!

Design a new cover for the book you read!

  • Create a different covee for the book you read - include covers, images, and graphics that you feel represent the theme of the story. Be creative!
  • Make sure to include the title of the book and the name of the author.
  • Post your version of the book's cover to the Summer Reading Board.
  • Make sure to include your Name and ID Number in your post!
